When this guitar arrived, the red spruce top had no cracks. But the body was badly damaged and all of the braces were loose. The oak sides were shattered in several places and the back had numerous cracks. The entire instrument had to be carefully taken apart, repaired and reassembled. The photos below will give you some idea of the pains we take to make these wonderful old Stella guitars healthy again!

The results of many hours of painstaking work. A very healthy example of one of Oscar Schmidt's fancier oak/spruce bodied concert guitars will survive for many years to come!
