A1037 Stella Grand Concert "Gambler" 12-string Guitar ...Circa 1937. Excellent+ restored condition! Black finish with embossed mother-of-toiletseat fingerboard. Spruce top is crack-free. Sides and back are birch - and there is one small side crack and one small back crack, both professionally repaired. This guitar was made in the latter half of the 1930s. Therefore, it has several features that are seldom seen on Stella guitars. Of particular note: the position markers. Like Lead Belly's famous Stella 12-string made during the same period, it has a position marker on the 9th fret, like modern guitars. All earlier Stellas have it on the 10th fret. This guitar has gone through an extensive restoration process lasting many months. Neck has been straightened and graphite reinforcing rod installed. Original faux mother-of-pearl veneer layer was carefully removed from old warped fingerboard and transferred to a brand new ebony fingerboard. Therefore, it has brand new frets, perfectly leveled. New Brazilian rosewood bridge. Intonation is "spot-on". Because of rarity of this instrument, plus the very bad condition of original finish (partially stripped when found), we opted to completely recondition this instrument. Therefore, it has been totally refinished and is in "mint" cosmetic condition. Comes with recent therma-plastic hard-shell case. Here is an opportunity to own a completely rejuvenated Oscar Schmidt Stella Gambler 12-string at the very reasonable price of $6500.00. SOLD Hear this guitar
