A1028 Galiano "Orchestra Model" by Oscar Schmidt ...Circa 1935. A very rare model offered by Schmidt in the 1930s, this guitar has a 15 1/4" lower bout and a 14-frets-to-the-body neck. It is similar to the slightly fancier Sovereign "Orchestra Model" guitar described on the last page of the 1932 Schmidt catalog. All birch construction with sunburst top and "fire stripe" faux tortoise pickguard. This guitar has seen a lot of use and has numerous professionally repaired cracks. It is a wonderful player with a HUGE sound.
