A1038 Stella 7-String Concert Guitar ...Exceedingly Rare! Original factory issued 7-string guitar, circa 1925. Although certainly a rarity, seven-string guitars were available by special order in the early 20th century. Even C.F. Martin made a few 7-strings; one described as "Russian 7-string guitar" and another described as "Hawaiian 7-string guitar". Our example has a spruce top, birch sides and back. Excellent crack-free original condition. Seven-string guitars have recently enjoyed a renaissance, with  low bass string tuned to either "B" or "C" (I like tuning it to a "D" and playing my "drop D" repertoire without losing my low E!). Today, many jazz players favor the instrument. Recent neck set with 2 graphite rods installed in neck. Fingerboard surface stain is worn through in places, but frets are in good shape and the board itself is flat with no divots. Action is superb and intonation is spot-on!  New hard-shell case.  $2895.00 price reduced!  $2495.00
