A1197 Sovereign Grand Concert Guitar, circa 1925 ...A rare high-end Oscar Schmidt model, this guitar is in exceptionally fine original condition. Koa body with "mother-of-toilet-seat" (faux mother-of-pearl) fingerboard and matching pearloid rosette and purfling front and back. Lower bout width is just over 14 3/4", scale length is 26 1/2", nut width is 1 7/8". This guitar is 100% crack free with a finish that is all original - no touch-ups or over-spray. The action is excellent and the bone saddle has a respectable height. Headstock has embossed "Sovereign" logo. This is an exceptionally good looking, excellent sounding guitar, perfect for playing finger-style blues and rags, and equally suited for a wide range of other musical styles, too!
